Youra is a South Korean singer-songwriter known for her dreamy, genre-bending sound and vivid storytelling. Her music often blends elements of indie, pop, and R&B, creating an atmosphere that feels both intimate and otherworldly. With a reputation for pairing strong visuals with her sonic identity, she’s become an artist whose releases resonate deeply across both Korean and international audiences.

The Project
Together, Youra and Chome collaborated on a visualizer project for her single 101 (Home Home), released on her birthday. The track is spacey, layered with emotion, and carries a sense of longing; we wanted to capture and amplify those feelings visually.

I created a full 3+ minute animated visualizer to accompany the release, designed to immerse listeners in the track’s atmosphere rather than simply decorate it. Alongside the video, we developed the single’s cover artwork: an image intended to feel instantly iconic, echoing the mood of the song while standing strong on its own as a piece of visual identity.

The end result was a seamless marriage of sound and design: a release that not only marked a milestone for Youra but also reinforced her aesthetic through carefully considered visual storytelling.
