DIGITAL GARMENT DESIGN
Balenciaga
The Concept
Digital garments allow fashion to be experienced beyond the physical realm - where fabric, form, and environment interact in unexpected ways. For these projects, I explored how clothing can take on new meaning when placed in surreal or unconventional contexts, creating visuals that blur the line between product and narrative.
The Process
Each garment began in Clo3D, where I drafted precise digital patterns to mirror real-world construction. I then refined and textured the models in Substance Painter, adding depth and material accuracy to the designs. Finally, the garments were placed within custom-built scenes in Blender, where I rendered the animations to highlight not only the clothing itself but also its dialogue with the surrounding environment.
The Projects
-
Balenciaga Moto Leather Jacket – A structured piece rendered with emphasis on weight and material realism.
-
Balenciaga Unity Scarf Zip Hoodie – Explored themes of comfort and draping in an immersive, atmospheric setting.
-
Balenciaga Skater Hoodie – Captured the oversized silhouette in three world-cities: Paris, Tokyo, and NYC.
Impact
Through these animations, the garments became more than products; they became protagonists within their own environments. The result was a series of digital studies that pushed beyond traditional fashion visualization and into the realm of experiential storytelling.
